They think it’s all over. It is now. Or maybe not. You see, just as we were wrapping up 2025 and reflecting on our time in charge of different variations of new GT3 across the past twelve months, and with magazine contributors discussing whether we’ve seen the last of the breed as we know it, we got the chance to test what many of you will consider the ultimate iteration of this track-oriented 911. Yep, a Weissach-kitted Club Sport, complete with imposing rear wing. The white body and gold wheels of our test car certainly added to the motorsport theme.
End of an era? Forthcoming RS aside, this could be the last purely normally aspirated GT3 as we know it, such was the effort Porsche’s engineers had to go to in order to meet emissions legislation without massively stifling power. It was a tall order, one the brand took on and conquered in dramatic style, but has left nothing in the way of wriggle room. With laws governing engine efficiency set to tighten even further in the not too distant future, it’s difficult to see where the GT3 can go next.
Then again, this is Porsche we’re talking about. If any manufacturer can work wonders, it’s the brand from Zuffenhausen. In the meantime, kick back and enjoy our review of this immediate modern classic.
