The Ford 1.0 EcoBoost engine runs a wet-belt system. Ford say change the belt every 10 years or 150,000 miles. However, there are plenty of reports of damaged belts clogging up oilways within the engine before this period, leading to, in some cases, failed engines. We look at how to renew the wet-belt on the 1.0 EcoBoost, which has a trade book time of nearly eight hours.
